Centennial Heritage Park
|
A visit to Centennial Heritage Park, a gift to the people of Glendora, is a step back into time. The Hamilton House, named for it's last occupant, has been completely restored and represents life in a working citrus grove 130 years ago. It is the 'crown jewel' of the Park.
Glendora is the home of the Rainbird impulse sprinkler and we are fortunate to have the actual workshop where Orton Englehardt invented and first produced them, right here in Glendora. It has been designated a National Historic Site by the American Society of Engineers.
The groves also produce numerous types of citrus fruits in two large areas on either side of the Hamilton House. This fruit is inspected, sprayed and certified regularly as required.

- Centennial Heritage Park is located at the eastern terminus of Mauna Loa Avenue in the city of Glendora, California. Centrally situated, the park is easily accessible to all residents.
- The Park is open on the second Saturday of each month from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and on the second Sunday of each month from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
- Each October, the annual Pumpkin Festival has provided our community the opportunity to see life as it was over 100 years ago.
- During the Pumpkin Festival, tours are given throughout the day of the Hamilton House, Englehardt workshed, the antique carriage house and print shop. Displays include antique engines, corn grinding, quilting, weaving and spinning as well as antique phonographs. There are also blacksmithing and wood carving displays and games for the children.
- As adults, we see the impact of modern conveniences and technology. Spending a few hours at the Pumpkin Festival take us back a hundred years and another look at "how Grandma used to do it."
- Thank you for visiting our website today. To schedule a tour of the Park, including the Hamilton House, please send an e-mail request to bettom04@roadrunner.com or telephone the park at (626) 335-2078 and leave a message... we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
